Two weeks ago I announced that CSIC was dead

The End of the Beginning: The Tragedy of the Emperors

Two weeks ago I announced that CSIC was dead. They knew they were dead and in the bitterness and anger they allowed someone to use their facilities to strike back at me. I am not an angry man this morning but I know freedom has come to us all; freedom from fear and anxiety and freedom to be the Professionals we are.

It may be unwise to write this morning that I attribute the downfall of CSIC to one man who listened to my story and believed me that there was a criminal conspiracy to overthrow the leadership of CAPIC. A man, who came to my office, listened and believed. A man who I had the pleasure of serving on The Board of Director’s with and a man whose integrity and strength of character I came to believe in. That man is Phil Mooney, the former CCIC but now headed to lead us into the Promised Land.

There was much I knew and much I never wrote about. There was an Ottawa insight as well as sources that continued to feed the rambling story of Tragedy in the Making. In the end, the work and the belief that there could be a brighter day must be shared by all of us. The story itself, while irrelevant this morning, is truly amazing and the destruction of CSIC can be laid at the hands of two men who, together, forever and who never missed a chance to enjoy the good life at our expense must now answer to the Members for what they did and when they did it. Those two men are Imran Qayyum, CCIC, FCMI, ICD.D, C. Dir., ASC, Chairman of the Canadian Migration Institute and the former Chairman of CSIC, John Ryan, now a Board Member of CSIC and the Acting CEO. They should both resign on this day and simply leave town and not come back.

The elections for CSIC should go ahead. We need control over the vast empire built on our backs and to insure that this Board does not give out any more largesse to these two men. The Board Members that were part of this charade, and we know who they are, should also take the bus with Imran and John and the Public Interest Director’s, basically riding the gravy train, should board that bus as well.

This is a time of reflection for all of us. It should not be an angry time but a joyful time and a time to build a Profession that we all can be proud of. It is a glorious day of freedom across this land and the two Emperors’ have had their last day of leading organizations that went wild with greed and insanity never seen in another Canadian Institute or organization. We have reached the waterfall and we have been blessed. Let us insure we deserve the blessing.
